Children's Flight of Hope recognizes Steve & GSK's continued support of children in need...
In recognition of years of support, Children's Flight of Hope (CFH) has named Steve Stefano Honorary Chair of this year's charity Pro-Am. Steve has been a driving force behind securing title sponsorship of the event in years past from GlaxoSmithKline. Children's Flight of Hope will host its 15th annual Charity Auction and Pro-Am Golf Tournament on May 6th & 7th at Brier Creek in Raleigh.
Steve Stefano joined GSK when it was Glaxo Inc in 1980 as a sales representative in Philadelphia. He was promoted to Associate Training Manager in 1984 and was relocated to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. From 1986 to the present he has had continual responsibility for developing, leading and directing the company's managed care efforts. Steve Stefano has served as Senior Vice President of both the Managed Markets and NeuroHealth Divisions of GlaxoSmithKline Inc. since January 1, 2001. In these roles, he is responsible for formulary access of GSK's products in the managed markets which include regional plans, pharmacy benefit managers, wholesalers and chain pharmacies as well as the fifty state Medicaid programs.
CFH is a Triangle nonprofit organization that provides free private air transportation to and from medical facilities for critically ill and injured children throughout North Carolina and the eastern United States. For more information about CFH visit www.childrensflightofhope.org.
The Pro-Am Golf Tournament, which will be played on Monday, May 7th at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, will feature approximately 20 PGA Tour Professionals. Past pros have included Bobby Clampett, Neal Lancaster, Carl Pettersson, Allen Doyle, Tim Clark, and Brenden Pappas. Each Professional will join one of our corporate-sponsored teams.
