Almost all women agree. You try everything --- eat healthy, exercise, diet - and, in fact, have some success in weight loss. Unfortunately, it is not always in the areas we want it -- stomach, hips, thighs and buttocks.
Body Chic at North Hills of Raleigh has a special program to help you do just that. This program typically leads to a loss of inches in the cellulite prone areas. Some women have seen improved skin structure allowing it to become firmer and smoother. Visible success may be seen within the first 4 weeks.
We firmly believe --- the most effective way to burn fat is through exercise. As much as we'd like to believe there is a short cut, there is none (other than going under the knife). However, burning fat can now be achieved with a low impact workout that even women who dislike rigorous exercise can appreciate.
Key points to remember:
1. The Body Chic plan primarily promotes loss of inches in the stomach, hips, thighs area -- the so-called cellulite prone areas.
2. Because of the general loss of fat in these cellulite-prone areas combined with the unique technology of the Vacu Step(r), users who've seen the results tend to also observe improved skin tone and elasticity.
3. However, a miracle cure to eliminate cellulite does not exist. Improved lifestyle, exercise and dietary changes can only hope to minimize its appearance.
Fat in Cellulite-Prone Areas: Stomach, Buttocks, Hips, and Thighs..... An Annoying Problem
Roughly 89% of women are naturally predisposed towards storing fat and appearance of cellulite on the hips, thighs, buttocks and stomach. Factors such as genetics, hormones, nutrition, lifestyle and aging play a role in the growth of this tissue.
"Cellulite" is not a medical term. It is simply ordinary fatty tissue. Strands of fibrous tissue connect the skin to deeper tissue layers and also separate compartments that contain fat cells. When fat cells increase in size, these compartments bulge and produce a waffled appearance of the skin. The female genes are designed with these strands of fibrous and fatty tissues because Mother Nature intended for us to support the increased amount of weight during pregnancy and energy reserves for nursing time. Unfortunately, this leads to unpleasant side effects when fat cells become larger and press against this net-like layer of connective tissue.
There are three layers of fat found in the body. Cellulite is located in the layer of fat closest to the skin. Fat in this layer responds the least to diet or exercise. The next two layers of fat are not structured. These fat
cells are not separated by connective tissue. The big difference is that the fat in the inner layers is more easily targeted by lifestyle and dietary changes.
The Body Chic plan aims to get you closer to your goal. The inner layers of fat must shrink, which is what we hope to achieve first and foremost. With the less intensive effort of exercising using the Vacu Step (r) unique technology, we hope to achieve loss of inches in these areas. We believe that with continued healthy balanced diet and exercise under the Body Chic plan, the results can only get better.
What are the optimal conditions for cellulite to diminish?
The changes in blood flow, lymphatic drainage, fat, and connective tissue result in cellulite - a bumpy or dimpled appearance of the skin. For cellulite to diminish, the inner layers of fat must shrink significantly first. The condition must be present for fat cells to separate and have enough space for proper lymphatic drainage to occur. The body's ability to drain unwanted toxins and lymphatic waste from the body must improve, reducing undesirable swelling in those areas. Connective tissues must stretch and become elongated, thereby improving skin tone and elasticity.
