Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) can learn about new business opportunities with Raleigh City government and the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) by attending the 10th annual MWBE Expo on Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Southeast Raleigh High School, 2600 Rock Quarry Road.

The free expo is held annually to provide MWBEs with an opportunity to talk one-on-one with purchasing and acquisition representatives and construction managers and representatives from the City and WCPSS. MWBE contractors and businesses will learn about more than $200 million worth of projects planned by the City and WCPSS for next fiscal year, 2008-09. Participants also will be able to get information about purchasing and contract lettings for the remainder of the 2007-08 fiscal year and next fiscal year.
